The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots square off for the right to go to the Super Bowl. We take a look at both team’s inactive list.

This is it everyone. Broncos vs. Patriots. For the right to represent the AFC in this year’s Super Bowl. Only 60 minutes away from the trip. It seems so surreal.

This will be the 17th installment of Manning vs. Brady. One of the best sports rivalries of all time will take place. Manning was not playing during the Week 12 meeting, a Broncos win in overtime.

With this being a big game, Gary Kubiak has to make some tough decisions on the inactive list. Luckily, it will not be that bad with all the key players practicing fully.

But first, we will take a look at the New England Patriots inactive list.

As expected, all of their key players will be participating in the game. After being listed as questionable, the big offensive players of Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski will play and have a full workload.

Linebacker Chandler Jones is also active for the Patriots. One thing that caught my attention was that wide receiver Chris Harper has been listed as inactive.

Harper was the player who muffed a punt in the Week 12 meeting that was the turning point of that game. I suppose chances will not be taken with him fielding punts. Then again, Edelman did not play in that game, so having him allowed them to deactive Harper.

Now for the Denver Broncos inactive list.

As we expected, everyone is healthy. Recent promoted cornerback Tauron Nixon is inactive, which means the Broncos have a lot of faith in Chris Harris Jr. to get the job done. Bradley Roby will most likley spell Harris Jr. if needed.

For the second straight game, Juwan Thompson is inactive for the Broncos. This means that C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman will be the only two running backs active for this game. They had a solid game against Pittsburgh last week and hopefully they will keep the train going.
