One of the more entertaining games of this series was played in 1995. The Chargers and Broncos would be involved in a big shootout with 57 points combine and over 700 yards of total yards between the two teams.

The Broncos would open up the scoring with a touchdown run by rookie running back Terrell Davis from two yards out. It was part of a 21 point outburst to begin the game. The Broncos appeared to go into the half with a huge lead, but a 91 yard kickoff return by the Chargers made it a 14 point halftime lead.

The second half is where the Chargers put the pressure on. The Broncos were only able to muster six points for the majority of the second half. While the Chargers were able to get 20 points for the second half.

However, the Chargers left too much time for John Elway and the Broncos as they relied on Davis to drive them down the field. Jason Elam would kick the game winning field goal to give the Broncos a 30-27 win.
