The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders met on a Monday night in Mile High. And the Raiders would leave that game defeated in a huge way as the Broncos went on to shut out the Raiders by a score of 27-0.
The most impressive thing about that game was that only four Broncos players provided the scoring in that contest. Kicker Jason Elam, in his third year, converted four field goals of 30,32,33, and 37 yards to give the Broncos 12 points and the connection between Elway and Anthony Miller worked twice.
Ed McCaffrey would help out as well as he caught a two point conversion from Elway. But the biggest story from this game was the Broncos team that limited the Raiders to 169 total yards in the 60 minutes and forcing four turnovers.
If you thought that was impressive, the Broncos defense held the Raiders to just 21 yards rushing the entire game.
