The Denver Broncos lead the San Diego Chargers by a score of 17-3 at the half. It has been quite a great performance by the Broncos on all aspects of the game.
Let us take a look at the key moments of the first half at Qualcomm Stadium on this Sunday afternoon.

Brock Osweiler leads the Broncos early
On the very first drive of the game, Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler drove the Broncos down on eight plays for 76 yards. The drive would end with an Osweiler to Demaryius Thomas touchdown connection.
The drive was well executed with a balance of running and passing. Vernon Davis and C.J. Anderson would provide key moments of that drive with a 16 yard reception and a 22 yard run respectfully.
It is very important that the Broncos got off to a quick start and it has proven to work out. Let us look deeper and see how the Broncos were able to keep the momentum going from the opening drive touchdown.
Danny Trevathan scores on a Pick Six
The Denver Broncos would score their second touchdown as the first quarter was coming to an end. As he was facing pressure, Phillip Rivers tried to get the ball to his wideout, but Danny Trevathan would jump the route and take the Rivers pass 25 yards for the pick six.
It would be the fifth defensive touchdown for the Broncos this season and their first since the Cleveland Browns game back in Week Six.
For a little fun note, the Denver Broncos have now scored a defensive touchdown against all three of their divisional rivals this season. I am uncertain when the last time that happened, but it is quite fun to mention.
Broncos defense dialing up the pressure
Another side note for the Broncos defense is how uncomfortable they have made Rivers throughout the entire game. They have recorded two sacks and have really put Rivers into a lot of forced throws.

Malik Jackson, Von Miller, and Shaq Barrett have really forced a lot of pressure on the Chargers quarterback and it is looking good for the Broncos thus far. Let’s keep the pressure up and make the second half a nightmare for Rivers.
The Chargers will receive the football to start the second half. Go Broncos!
