The Denver Broncos are set to face the San Diego Chargers for the first time this season. It is quite interesting that both of these teams are facing each other this late in the season.

When the season began, it was believed that these two teams would be in the thick of the AFC West race, however both teams are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Despite losing Peyton Manning, who lead the Broncos to a 7-2 start, Brock Osweiler has been the story of the past two weeks.

In his first two starts, he has led the Broncos to a 17-15 and 30-24 win over the Bears and Patriots respectfully. The Broncos now sit at 9-2 and are one step closer to a fifth straight division title.

For the Chargers, they have been on the bad end of some close games. In six of their eight losses, the Chargers have lost by an average of five points. Phillip Rivers has done well by throwing for over 3,500 yards. However, their defense has not performed well ranking near last in points allowed and rushing yards allowed.

In recent history, the Chargers and Broncos have played each other close, so I would not be surprised to see another close game. And with a chance to get one step closer to clinching the AFC West, the Broncos will go out firing on all cylinders.

Let us take a look at the Week 13 matchup between the Broncos and Chargers in San Diego.
