The Broncos would control the game from start to finish as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would battle it out to a 26-16 Broncos victory. It would mark the third time the Broncos would beat the Patriots in the playoffs and would allow them to avenge a 45-10 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round in 2011.
The Broncos would jump out to a 23-3 lead when Jacob Tamme and Demaryius Thomas would connect with Peyton Manning on a one yard and a three yard touchdown respectfully. The Broncos would add on two Matt Prater field goals.
While the Patriots would add on two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter, it would prove to be too much for them as the Broncos would win the game and move on to their seventh Super Bowl appearance in franchise history.
