X-Factors:

Danny Trevathan

As I have mentioned in the key matchups, Trevathan is going to play a huge part in the defensive game plan. If the Broncos plan on stopping Gronkowski, then Trevathan will have to be on his A+ game.

He showed that he can be a solid player in coverage in last week’s win against the Chicago Bears, so let us see if he can build off of his performance.

Vernon Davis

The Patriots have Gronk while the Broncos have Vernon Davis. He was one of Osweiler’s top targets last week and I would not be surprised if he looks his way again, especially in the red zone.

I would not be surprised to see Davis get in the end zone for this game. After being acquired in a trade, he did not have a huge role in the offense until Osweiler started. Who knows, Davis could be that security blanket that Osweiler needs in the offense.

However, Osweiler connected with all three tight ends in the Bears game on Sunday, but I think this becomes Davis’ game to show the Broncos what he can do for their offense.
