OK Broncos buddies, this is your game thread which because of other non-secular obligations I have during the game (I hate it when the Broncos play in the early window…) I will not be able to preside over.

However, for the Broncos, there are so many good things going on, it’s time to see what the Brock Osweiler era will entail. Interestingly, the Broncos have drawn the Chicago Bears, coached by ex-Broncos head coach John Fox and his former offensive coordinator Adam Gase, among others.

These coaches would have more fodder on Osweiler’s proclivities in his debut than other coaches in the NFL but it may come down to the methodology of former Dixie State (Utah) head coach Greg Croshaw who informed those he coached against about what was coming but it couldn’t be stopped. Incidentally, one of Croshaw’s stars in those days was former New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals star tailback Corey Dillon, perhaps you’ve heard of him.

Anyway, another element is the bitter cold in Chicago with temperatures in the 20’s while chief meteorologist on Chicago’s ABC affiliate, WLS-TV Channel 7, Cheryl Scott, reported that as of Saturday, the second biggest snowfall for Chicago (11 feet-2 inches) occurred in Chicagoland, the biggest storm since 1895.

With this said, if Osweiler can navigate the literal and figurative storms and ice swirling off the shores of Lake Michigan this afternoon, the Broncos may have actually enhanced themselves as many Denver media have previously surmised will be the case.

In any event, Broncos fans should also cheer for the Detroit Lions and San Diego Chargers this Sunday as a precaution should a stumble occur but that’s just the worst-case scenario and at Predominantly Orange, we seek to prepare everyone for whatever lies ahead.

This, again, is your game thread for Broncos-Bears, so use it as you see fit and be nice to any Bears fans who may visit. To be honest, if anyone visits this thread at all, I will be positively elated.
