Is it possible to be a ‘journeyman’ before you even enter the NFL?
If so, Gunner Kiel of Cincinnati has achieved it.
Kiel originally committed to play college football near his home with the Indiana Hoosiers, where his brother was playing. He thought better of that, and then committed to LSU. That didn’t work out, so he ended up at Notre Dame. A whole lot of shuffling in there and plenty of excited major college football fan bases later, Kiel wound up at Cincinnati, and has made a nice home for himself.
He is fresh off of a 15-for-15 performance with five touchdowns and one of the most efficient performances by a quarterback in the history of college football.
The former top recruit has turned into a really good player, and in six games this season he’s completed nearly 69 percent of his passes.
