As we get into November Broncos Country, there are some things that are more valuable to life than just football. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we need to think of those that are less fortunate and will not get to enjoy a huge meal like the rest of us.

I was informed by Mike Dopheide, a good friend of mine and fellow Broncos fan, about a food drive that could help with those who will not be able to enjoy Thanksgiving. The drive is called Touchdowns to Drive Out Hunger. This is the third year of the drive’s existence. And the drive is quite simple and anyone can join.

For every touchdown that Peyton Manning throws in the month of November, donate six cans of food or non-perishable item. Each can represents each point that a touchdown is worth. Once the game ends, tally up how many touchdowns Manning has thrown and donate at your local food bank, church, or charity.

This is a great way for Broncos Country to donate and help out the community. Manning’s success on the field can help feed the hungry off the field.

There should be no reason anyone in Broncos Country or around the world goes hungry. Let us provide to those that are going hungry and give them something to be thankful for this holiday season.

I will without a doubt be participating in this event for every game this month.

Broncos fans will have five chances to donate this season starting with the Green Bay Packers game. One of the messages that is used for this drive is quite interesting. Feed the Needy when Peyton gets Greedy.

Share this article with all your friends and let us drive out hunger this holiday season with the help of Peyton Manning and Broncos Country! Go Broncos!
