#2- The Fumble
The Broncos and Browns would meet for the second straight year in the AFC Championship Game. The Browns were looking to exact some revenge from last season’s defeat.
The scene was set at Mile High Stadium this time and the Broncos started off strong by jumping out to a 21-3 lead at the half. Things were going the Broncos way and they appeared to be too much for the Browns.
The Browns would begin the comeback by outscoring John Elway and company 21-10 in the third quarter to make things closer when the final frame began.
The Browns would tie the game up with a Bernie Kosar touchdown pass to make it 31 all. The Broncos would drive right down the field and a Elway touchdown pass would give the Broncos the lead back 38-31.
The Browns were driving and it appeared as if another overtime classic was in the works. However Earnest Byner would fumble the ball as he was heading into the end zone and the Broncos would recover. The play sealed another Super Bowl appearance for the Broncos as they won 38-33.
