Broncos 23 Browns 20

The Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns squared off at Invesco Field. It would be one of the most exciting games in the history of the series.

The Broncos would jump out to the early lead by scoring the first ten points from Clinton Portis and Jason Elam. The Browns would respond with a field goal by Brett Conway and a Tim Couch touchdown pass to Keith Heinrich just as the half expired to tie the game at ten heading to the locker room.

With no scoring in the third quarter, both teams would trade scores. First Portis again got his second rushing touchdown of the game to make it 17-10 Broncos. Then the Browns would respond with a 25 yard touchdown reception from Andre Davis to tie it up again.

The Browns would take their first lead of the game on a Brett Conway field goal with just over a minute left. However, Jake Plummer would lead the Broncos down the field to set up Elam with a 36 yard field goal attempt.

It would be successful and would take the game to overtime. In the extra session, Elam would prove to be the hero as he connected from 25 yards out to give the Broncos the 23-20 win.
