Key Matchups

Broncos offense vs. Raiders defense

While the Denver Broncos have had a tough time going on offense, this could be the best chance to breakout against a porous Raiders defense.

While the Broncos do rank 27th in total offense, the Raiders are next-to-last in total defense. They allow over 400 yards and an average of 27 points per game.

This is the perfect chance for the Broncos offense, who should improve within time, to flex their muscles and show them that they do have a solid offensive power.

Aqib Talib vs. Amari Cooper

The Broncos secondary goes up against the Oakland Raiders first round draft pick from Alabama. It makes sense that Aqib Talib will be the one who will be tasked in covering Amari Cooper.

So far this season, Cooper has recorded 339 yards receiving on 24 receptions. He has also added two touchdown receptions. The key is for Derek Carr and Cooper to connect on the long ball and hope that they can catch the Broncos secondary napping.

An added bonus is that Darian Stewart has a knack of hunting down the long ball. So, if Aqib Talib needs help, he has Stewart to help out.

This will be something to watch. How will a rookie wide out fair against a seasoned veteran that is one of the top players at his position?
