Peyton Manning – PUSH
Manning’s fantasy stock was plummeting as of the pre-season. I was able to get him in the 4th round of a draft, where as last year I took him with the #1 overall pick.
He’s certainly not playing at the level of a #1 pick, but he’s also not killing your team, depending on how you score your leagues. Right now, I would say Manning probably isn’t even a top 10 option at QB in standard scoring formats, but going forward, I would still lean on his stock going up.
This is a weird situation. Manning has a game coming up against a 2-2 Raiders team on the road, and then the Cleveland Browns before the Broncos take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. For Denver to get to 5-0, it’s going to mean a big game from the offense and Peyton Manning.
The defense has done its part. While Manning has struggled this season, I don’t see the fantasy arrow pointing down just yet. Keep Manning around on your teams and unless you have a far better option, keep starting him.
