The Denver Broncos 2007 season was one to forget as the team would finish the season with a losing record for the first time since 1999. But they would end their season on a high note.

Facing off against rookie running back Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings, the Denver Broncos would have a slow start to the game as the Vikings scored the first points of the game in the second quarter on a field goal. But the Broncos would score 19 unanswered points from near the halfway point of the second quarter until the beginning of the fourth quarter.

With a 19-3 lead early in the fourth quarter, it appeared as if the Broncos would be on their way to victory. But Tarvarius Jackson and Bobby Wade would have other ideas. Both players connected on two touchdown passes and added the two point conversion twice that tied the game up at 19 a piece.

In overtime, the Broncos defense would make sure the team had a chance to win when Alvin McKinley would sack Jackson and force a fumble. Elvis Dumervil would recover and give the Broncos good field position.

Jason Elam would win the game for the Broncos in his last game with the team. His 30 yard attempt just 52 seconds into overtime won the game for the Broncos. Jason Elam would go on to play for the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons before retiring from the league.

The Broncos held Adrian Peterson to only 36 yards rushing in the game.
