On a cool Monday night at Mile High, the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings met for the third time in the series history. And ti would be one to remember for the Broncos.
Like the last game I talked about, the game started out with the two teams trading field goals, both in the second quarter and the same halftime score of three points a piece. A field goal by Broncos kicker Fred Steinfort gave them a 6-3 lead.
However, in the fourth quarter, the scoring would commence. The Broncos would score on touchdowns from Rob Lytle and Steve Watson. The scores would give the Broncos a 19-3 lead. The Vikings would storm back with two touchdown runs by Tony Galbreath to cut the lead to 19-17. But the Broncos would hold on for the win, their first one in the series against the Vikings.
