X-Factors
NT Sylvester Williams
Stopping the run (as I have said many times so far) is going to be key in this game. Sylvester Williams is going to have his hands full with Adrian Peterson in this game. The Broncos have only gone up against Peterson once in his career and he was only a rookie. In 2007, he had 36 yards rushing on 11 carries.
Now that he has some years of NFL experience under his belt, it will be interesting to see how he performs against the Broncos. Sly will have to keep him in the backfield as well as the front seven if the team wants to halt the former NFL MVP.
RT Michael Schofield
If Ty Sambrailo is unavailable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, Michael Schofield could see his fist game action on Sunday. And is he in for a big challenge.
That front seven will not be easy to contain, especially for a player making his NFL debut. Schofield will get tested early and often.
Michael Schofield was a third round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft. He made the final roster, but was a healthy scratch for every game during the 2014 season. Schofield wants to prove that he can handle his own on the field.
Schofield will have a tough task against a relentless blitzing attack from the Vikings. But I think he will hold his ground well enough to give Manning time to get rid of the football.
