Key Matchups

Peyton Manning vs. Minnesota Front Seven

Peyton Manning is perhaps the to-go guy when you want to get rid of the football quickly. However, he might have a difficult time with that on Sunday as the Broncos face perhaps one of the quickest front seven’s I have seen so far this season.

Watching some game tape from the Vikings last game against the San Diego Chargers, the Vikings are a tireless pass rush who have the ability to get to the quarterback whenever they decide to bring the blitz.

The Vikings front seven is a ruthless bunch and if the offensive line does not hold strong, it will be a long day for the future hall of fame quarterback.

Broncos receivers vs. Minnesota secondary

The Denver Broncos wide outs are perhaps the best in the league, especially Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. However, they square off against a secondary that is in the top half of the league in passing yards allowed.

We saw in Detroit that the wide outs Sanders and Thomas can go up and grab the ball. Even though Sanders is only 5’11” he has the hops to take a turnover away from a cornerback. Thomas has a knack for jumping for the ball at the right time.

While Minnesota does not have any cornerbacks that are well known other than Terrence Newman, they can all play well, so the Broncos wide outs will have to do well.
