#1- Defense Forces Ten Turnovers, October 7th, 1984
On a fall day in the Pontiac Silverdome, the Broncos and Lions faced off. The game was well known for the Broncos causing havoc on the Lions offense.
The two Lions quarterbacks Gary Danielson and Mike Machurek combine to throw seven interceptions against the Broncos defense, one of which was returned for a touchdown that ended the scoring for both teams.
The Broncos also recovered three fumbles on four opportunities. This added up to 10 Lions turnovers. Luckily, the score was not too brutal on Detroit as the Broncos won the game 28-7. With ten turnovers, the Broncos defense were able to really put the heat on the Lions the entire game.
John Elway had a solid game, only missing on six passes for over 200 yards. With the Broncos defense causing turnovers, the team did not need a big time performance from Mr. Elway.
