Key Matchups

Calvin Johnson vs. Aqib Talib

This will perhaps be the biggest matchup of the game. One of the biggest names in the NFL as a wide out goes up against a corner back that has a hot start to the season.

The wide out known as Megatron has had a slow start to the season, catching 12 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown. His next test will not be an easy one.

Aqib Talib has gotten off to a great start in the 2015 season, recording an interception in each of the Broncos first two games. His pick six off of Joe Flacco was the game winner. And it appears that he is just getting started.

While this will be Talib’s biggest challenge this season, he lives for the challenges. This will be a great matchup to watch.

C.J. Anderson vs. Detroit Front Seven

C.J. Anderson has had a difficult time getting things going in the 2015 season. In fact, the Denver Broncos as a whole only have 130 yards rushing through the first two games of the season.

If the running game is going to help the Broncos this season, this could be the game to do so. The Lions’ front seven is a bit banged up, but they still have Haloti Ngata. He has struggled, but can still make plays.

Hopefully Anderson can take advantage and have a solid day against the Lions, but it also will depend on how the offensive line holds up against the front seven. If all goes well, it should be a coming out party for the running backs, especially C.J. Anderson.
