2. The return of the running game

The Broncos ran the ball a mere 24 times in their opener against the Ravens. That simply will not do as the season progresses, and Gary Kubiak knows that.

Kansas City has a phenomenal front seven, but the Broncos have proven before that they can be had. I fully expect C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman to help in wearing out the Chiefs defense on Thursday night.

The return of the running game would also mean the return (and improvement) of the offensive line, which saw some major struggles in communication in week 1. I think the line will have hit the film room hard these last couple days and come out with some big time adjustments to pave the way for the Broncos’ talented running backs.
