Rejoice Broncos fans. The first game of the regular season is upon us. The team has a tough opening day challenge in 2015 as they take on the Baltimore Ravens.

The last time these two teams squared off was the very first game of the 2013 season. The Ravens were beginning their title defense, but suffered a 49-27 loss to the Broncos in which Peyton Manning threw for seven touchdowns.

A lot has changed for both teams since then. Gary Kubiak is now the head coach in Denver after spending the year in Baltimore as the offensive coordinator. Both teams were in the playoffs last year and both lost in the divisional round.

There will be high expectations for both teams this season, as they both figure to be in the thick of the AFC playoff race this season. The Broncos have the Chargers and Chiefs working their way up to catch them in the West. Baltimore has the Steelers and Bengals to focus on.

This game begins a tough stretch for the Broncos to begin the season as they face the Kansas City Chiefs roughly 96 hours after the conclusion of this game. Facing two tough test just a few days apart will really test the Broncos.

Many questions will be answered this season. How will the new zone blocking scheme help the Broncos? Will we see a new version of the Orange Crush defense? Those questions will not be answered right away, but we might get a good idea during this game.

Let us take a look at the key matchups, x-factors, and prediction for this week’s match up with the Baltimore Ravens.
