Broncos preseason: 10 players to watch against 49ers

9. Ronnie Hillman, RB

Ronnie Hillman has been phenomenal for the Broncos this preseason. It’s been a slight shock, but he’s probably playing better than any back on the team including CJ Anderson.

Because of his preseason, the Broncos elevated him to the 1A role behind Anderson for the time being, while Montee Ball has been moved down the depth chart. Hillman’s explosiveness is something this team absolutely needs, but rather than just his speed and playmaking ability, he’s now showing off great vision, he’s making great cuts, and he is a good third down back.

Hillman should be able to continue his preseason success against the 49ers.
