7. Ty Sambrailo, LT

As with the rest of the starting offensive line, I’m eager to see what kind of progress Sambrailo is making. He’s now going to be playing next to Evan Mathis once the regular season kicks off, but for now, Sambrailo is the leader of the left side of the offensive line, and he’s learning quickly.

Blocking for Peyton Manning’s blind side is no easy task, but there was definite improvement from week one of the preseason to week two in Sambrailo’s case.

There was also a play in particular against the Texans where Sambrailo chipped a pass rusher and quickly got out into space where he paved the way for a big gain downfield. It’s that kind of athleticism that makes him a great fit for this scheme, and why I believe ultimately he’ll be able to do well against speed rushers with his light feet.
