If Shaquil Barrett has been the best player on the Broncos this preseason, rookie Darius Kilgo has not been far behind. That was abundantly clear in the team’s 2nd preseason game against Houston, where Kilgo was phenomenal.
He’s not only stopping the run as you expect from nose tackles, but he’s penetrating and making plays in the backfield.
Kilgo looked especially explosive on a sack he had against the Texans last week, and we’re expecting to see much of the same this week against a 49ers offensive line that is in a major state of transition. There are some good young players on the other side of the ball, but Kilgo has some serious momentum right now.
