2. Backup Tight Ends

There’s not one particular player I’m excited to see at the tight end position (save for Owen Daniels and Virgil Green) but I’m really pumped to watch this position group as a whole. Since March, the Broncos have added/re-signed the following:

– Owen Daniels
– Virgil Green
– Joe Don Duncan
– James Casey
– Marcel Jensen
– Jake Murphy
– Dan Light

And don’t forget about Jeff Heuerman, who can’t play because he suffered an ACL injury…

The Broncos’ tight end position is well-stocked, and these final two preseason games are going to be major to see which players can make an impact on this team this season. After Daniels, Green, and Casey, none of us are really sure where the Broncos are going because no one has stood out in a big way thus far.

Tonight should be an opportunity for the coaches to get some more good looks and figure out how they will round out the roster at the TE position.
