Brandon Marshall is going to be participating in his first live action game since undergoing surgery on his foot during the offseason. He plans to see how his foot feels during the Broncos second preseason tilt with the Houston Texans.
Coming off an impressive 2014 season which saw Brandon Marshall lead the Broncos in tackles on defense, the four year veteran from Nevada University has come a long way. Once believed to be just a spot on the training camp roster a few years ago, Brandon Marshall has come a long way.
Brandon Marshall got a chance to meet with the media on Thursday as the Broncos wrapped up training camp. Of course, the main focus of questions the reporters had for Brandon Marshall was his recovery from Lisfranc injury. But he let the media know that he was ready.
“I’ve been feeling good for a little bit, for a couple weeks at least. So I am glad to be up honestly.” the linebacker told reporters. “I thought I would recover well. I was worried when I had the surgery because it was so close. But I rehabbed well, ate well, and now I am ready.”
Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan have both been recovering from injuries. Danny Trevathan suffered numerous injuries that landed him on injured reserve. Both Brandon Marshall and Trevathan have found it easier going through the rehab together.
“We were able to talk to each other, able to confide in each other, help each other and build each other up when we were going through something. It was good to have someone to go through the injury with.”

Both Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan figure to be a huge part in the Denver Broncos new 3-4 defense, so having them both healthy is going to be key. When asked about how important it is to be on the field together, Brandon Marshall did not hesitate to know how important it is.
“I feel like we are naturals together. We are able to feed off each other during practice. He knows his checks and I know mine… We naturally fit, play with each other well as far as a defensive standpoint. It will be huge but we should be fine once the game comes.”
This year is going be a big one for Brandon Marshall. Will he be able to repeat his 2014 stats and help the Broncos regain the “Orange Crush” mentality of the defense? At this point, we will have to see once the defense takes the field. Brandon Marshall is ready to unleash.
