Running Back

Stock up: Ronnie Hillman

Stock down: Kapri Bibbs

Ronnie Hillman proved to fans and coaches alike that he belongs on this team, and with a significant role. He was quick to the hole, made quick decisions and cuts, and showed better burst than any other Broncos back on the night. He also caught a pass and picked up a blitz.

Coaches are also talking about Hillman’s ability to contribute on special teams. That’s an exciting development too, and I think Hillman will be a critical piece of the Broncos’ roster this year.

Bibbs, on the other hand, appears buried on the depth chart and didn’t even get a chance to play on offense in this game. It was a shame for all of us fans, because we have been itching to see what Bibbs can do.

The Broncos gave carries first to Juwan Thompson and Jeremy Stewart, but perhaps in this 2nd preseason game, we’ll be able to see what Bibbs is capable of.
