WR Bennie Fowler

When you are in one of the most crowded competitions on the roster, it’s important to find ways to stand out. In Bennie Fowler’s case, he laid out.

Fowler hauled in a 41-yard bomb from Trevor Siemian that set the Broncos up for what would eventually be the game-sealing points, and caught another pass on the drive to keep his name really prominent among a big group of wideouts.

The Broncos have about a dozen guys at the receiver position, but Fowler already sticks out because of his incredible size/speed/athletic ability. We have seen Fowler developing on special teams as well, but the Broncos kept him around all last year because of his big play potential at receiver.

We saw a bit of that on Friday night. Fowler’s diving catch is the type of play that will get recognition from his coaches, and earn him some extra reps in practice.
