DL Kenny Anunike

It’s a year later, but Kenny Anunike doesn’t look like he’s skipped a beat. If the Broncos are looking to replace Derek Wolfe’s intensity on the field while he serves a four-game suspension to start the season, they need to look no further than Anunike, who was a star in last night’s pre-season opener.

Anunike not only led the team in tackles, he had a sack and a forced fumble, and flushed the Seattle third string QB out of the pocket on a fourth down play that wound up with a forced fumble recovered by the Broncos.

It was a great return to the field for Anunike, who has been having yet another good offseason. The biggest question here is whether or not he can stay healthy, which is a concern. The good news is, the Broncos have the luxury of some depth on the defensive line. They need to find a way to keep Anunike around, because this guy is a gamer.

Next: Bennie Fowler
