Key Matchups

Broncos Offensive Line vs. Seattle DL & LB’s

The Broncos will have three new starters on the line Friday night. Ty Sambrailo (LT), Max Garcia (LG), and Matt Paradis ( C ) will be instructed to keep Brock Osweiler upright against the strong Seattle defense. Louis Vasquez and Ryan Harris will complete the offensive line.

This is such a huge test for the three men on Brock Osweiler’s blind side. This is going to show the coaching staff and Broncos fans if we can trust three players that have not taken a regular season snap in the NFL with protecting the quarterback. If they pass, they will see the field another day. If not, expect some shuffling before the preseason matchup against the Houston Texans.

Brock Osweiler vs. Seattle secondary

Speaking of the quarterback, Brock Osweiler will be facing a tough task going up against the secondary. Even with the absence of the Legion of Boom, this will be a task for him to be able to keep drives going and to see if he really is the quarterback of the future.

Brock Osweiler will need to make some smart decisions when it comes to throwing the football and to do his best to escape the pressure that the Seahawks defense could bring. Their defense sees Brock Osweiler as fresh meat. If Brock Osweiler can lead the Broncos down some solid drives and come away with some points, it will be a success.

I, for one, will be rooting for him to succeed and to get a chance to hopefully see what the future holds for the Broncos once Peyton Manning hangs up the cleats. This will be the chance to see if the Broncos see a future with Brock Osweiler at the helm.
