Injury Report/Players Not Playing
For the Denver Broncos, the first preseason game will feature a lot of veteran players resting. Some of the players that Gary Kubiak is resting for Friday night’s game include Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Demarcus Ware, and Owen Daniels. Other players that are not playing are for injury reasons.
With Peyton Manning taking the night off, Brock Osweiler will start for the Denver Broncos. Most of his weapons will be backups for the most part. Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell figure to be the starting wide outs. C.J. Anderson is slated to start behind Brock Osweiler for the Broncos and James Casey should be the starter at fullback.
For the Seattle Seahawks, things could get a bit easier for Brock Osweiler as far as throwing the football. Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor is holding out for a new contract and will not report until that is completed. Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas will be sitting out tonight as well as both players are nursing injuries.
Russell Wilson will start at QB for the Seahawks, but he figures to only be in for a series or two. There are conflicting reports that Marshawn Lynch is either sitting out or playing. According to Sayre, he will play, but it will be something to look at. It would not surprise me if he did play.
