The Denver Broncos have completed the first half of the their game against the Seattle Seahawks. If there is one player out there who impressed during that first half, it is perhaps the one guy who is looking to become the next face of the franchise.

Brock Osweiler had quite the first half for the Denver Broncos. He completed 15 of his 20 passes during the first half for 151 yards and had a touchdown pass during the two minute drill to Virgil Green, the same guy who Brock Osweiler connected with to end the 2014 regular season for the Denver Broncos.

It was not just his numbers that have impressed me, but his ability to perform in key situations. The Broncos went 4 for 8 on third down with Brock Osweiler under center. His key third down conversions were the reason that the drives they had kept going. While Brock Osweiler did struggle in the red zone, he did show flashes of what the team would expect in a quarterback.

For a player who has not had a lot of chances to prove himself to the Denver Broncos organization, Brock Osweiler did show that he can do a lot for the organization once Peyton Manning hangs up the cleats. While to we can not go off of one preseason game, what the Broncos saw today from Brock Osweiler must have the team thinking that he deserves a shot next week.

Brock Osweiler must have left the game against the Seahawks with his head held high. As he should. He could have help silence any critics for the time being. But the one thing I will look for next weekend against the Houston Texans is if Brock Osweiler can build off of that and have that type of performance again. Good game Brock Osweiler. We will see you next week.
