Tom Jackson

We have seen Tom Jackson receive an award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Now I believe it is time for the linebacker to get some recognition and be enshrined as well. However, for the same reason as Karl Meckleburg, it could be difficult to place him on the list.

Another reason he may not end up in the Hall of Fame is how low his numbers were. He recorded 13 sacks as a linebacker which seems low. However, the number that may propel him into the Hall of Fame is 20. That is the number of interceptions he recorded during his career with the Broncos. 20 interceptions for a linebacker is quite impressive.

It may take some time before Tom Jackson gets his recognition, but I do believe that he is a Hall of Fame linebacker and deserves some credit for his Orange Crush defensive plays during his time in Denver. Maybe someday we will see him.
