Peyton Manning has been known for reaching out to those who are in need in a difficult time. It has been a staple of his life for quite some time. When he heard the news out of the state in which he played college football, there was no doubting that he would be paying his respects.

On Thursday July 16th, five members of the United States Marine Corps were shot and killed by a gunman acting on his own at the Naval Marine Corps Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway. Four of the five servicemen were killed instantly while the fifth serviceman died from the injuries he suffered Saturday. A police officer from the Chattanooga Police Department is hospitalized from his injuries.

On Saturday night, Peyton Manning went down to visit with the marine personnel and police officers. This is according to multiple sources that informed Channel 3 WRCB in Chattanooga about the Broncos quarterback visiting. There were also pictures posted on social media by officers who were there at the time of Peyton Manning’s visit.

Peyton Manning, once again, shows his class act by his visit in order to show his support to the individuals whom were suffering at the hands of this tragic event that took place on Thursday. His outgoing support further shows why he is one of the most liked players in the league. While the event is tragic in nature, knowing that a NFL player decided to take the time out and pay his respects for those involved in such an event will earn that player so much more respect as a person.

My prayers go out to each of the five members of the United States Marine Corps who lost their lives in this tragic event on American Soil. As for Peyton Manning, he continues to impress me with his ability to continue to be a role model to individuals out there. Much respect to you Peyton Manning.
