2. Taurean Nixon, Cornerback

Another player in the Broncos’ talented defensive backfield to keep an eye on is former Tulane Green Wave nickel corner Taurean Nixon, who is apparently built like a Greek god. I mean, look at the size of this guy’s upper body as a cornerback. He looks more like a running back.

Nixon was relatively unknown coming out of Tulane, unlike Broncos fifth round pick Lorenzo Doss, who picked off a ton of passes. This is a player who was more athlete  than production on the field in terms of racking up stats, but he’s a guy that the Broncos obviously liked in workouts prior to the draft and felt like he could come in and compete for a job.

I think early on, if he were to find himself on the roster, it would be as a special teams player, but perhaps with his size and nickel background, he could double as a CB/S for the Broncos. You never know.

Either way, someone with this type of size and athleticism bears monitoring.
