Peyton Manning is back at Dove Valley, on the field for the first day of voluntary OTAs, and he’s sporting some new headgear.
The Virginia Tech helmet ratings called the Speed Flex one of the best on the market right now, and they are available individually for the cool price of $399.99. More than anything, it’s just great to see Peyton Manning on the field again. It’s been a long offseason for Broncos fans after the brutal loss to Indianapolis. Now, with a new offense, new coaches, new players, and a sparkling facility, the team appears poised to rebound and try and finish the job. As John Elway calls it, ‘kicking and screaming’. Manning talked about the adjustments to having a new offense to learn and new coaches. “I ask a lot of questions. I’m always learning…” “I love being coached. I get angry when I’m not coached. So I ask a lot of questions and certainly appreciate any insight and feedback. I think if you ever stop listening to coaches or stop asking questions, then you probably need to be doing something else.”
Manning is doing a lot more working under center this offseason than probably any year in his recent history, though he’s not really comparing previous coordinators or systems.
Peyton is also doing some really cool stuff in the community, including giving away more money than some of us might make in a lifetime. He is nothing if not incredibly generous.
The Broncos are, as is typical, lucky to have Manning. He’s such an incredible leader and a guy this team can rally around. Hopefully he’s fully healthy this season, and the Broncos can make a Super Bowl run with him leading the charge.
