Previewing the Denver Broncos Offensive Skill Depth Chart
Tight End: Owen Daniels, Virgil Green, James Casey, Joe Don Duncan (R)
The Broncos lost Julius Thomas to free agency, and I don’t know that anyone on this list is going off for 12 touchdowns this season like he did the last two years, but each guy provides intriguing value and upside.
Daniels is the veteran playmaker of the group who knows the offense, knows Kubiak, and will develop a strong rapport with Manning early on. He’s the odds-on favorite to be the lead pass catcher of this crew.

A dark horse candidate would be Virgil Green, who was re-signed to a three-year deal this offseason. The Broncos made re-signing him a major priority, and his role will likely see vast expansion this season.
Both James Casey and Joe Don Duncan will be receiving playing time at TE and FB, but both guys could have plenty of opportunities in the passing game regardless. Casey has phenomenal hands, and Duncan has proven some really athletic pass catching ability in college. He could be a nice sleeper player for this Broncos team.
