The Denver Broncos’ road to the Super Bowl has officially been mapped out. We already knew the opponents, now we know the order in which they will be played, and how tough it’s going to be for the Broncos to make it back to the big dance in what is assumed to be Peyton Manning’s final season.
The Broncos will kick off the 2015 season with a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, whom they opened against after the disappointing finish in 2012.
As expected, the Broncos are among the league leaders in prime-time games. Peyton Manning is one of the most popular players in the NFL, so having plenty of games under the lights is something the Broncos are absolutely used to at this point.
When the slate of opponents was revealed, the Broncos had a huge advantage with Green Bay, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and New England all coming into the Mile High City. The toughest road games the Broncos face are against the Pittsburgh Steelers and (indoors) against the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts.
In all honesty, that’s really not bad, all things considered.
No NFL team has an easy road to the playoffs, but the Broncos have a pretty favorable schedule at least as it pertains to the games they will play at home vs. on the road. Having home matchups against Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady is huge.
As is typical, the Broncos will cap off the season with a divisional matchup against the ______, which will hopefully have no impact on the division race. The Broncos ought have things locked in at that point, as they usually have since Manning arrived in Denver.
