Coming off of yet another first place finish in the AFC West, it’s no question the Broncos face a tough task ahead of them as the 2015 NFL schedule is released.
With the NFC North on the docket, along with the AFC North, the Broncos face a very tough slate of games on their road to the Super Bowl, in what could potentially be Peyton Manning’s final season with the team and in the NFL.
We all know it’s not just the opponent you have on the schedule, but the timing of when and where the game is being played are huge factors as well. Here are what I believe to be the top five toughest games for the Broncos on the 2015 schedule.
5. Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (Week 2)
I don’t care how good these two teams are, any time they get together it’s a battle, and especially being in Kansas City, this is a tough matchup for the Broncos.
The Chiefs are a pretty good team, one that the Broncos and Peyton Manning have been — to this point — invincible against as long as he’s been wearing orange. That said, a divisional road game is always seemingly a toss up and the Cheifs figure to be the Broncos’ top competition within the division again this year.
With the addition of Jeremy Maclin to an offense that already features the explosive Jamaal Charles and up-and-coming Travis Kelce at tight end, this team could be a dangerous threat for the Broncos and they will need to bring their best in order to win at Arrowhead for Manning’s fourth consecutive year as a Bronco.
