When NFL players are not on the gridiron, some of them decide to give to the community in anyway that they think would benefit. David Bruton is giving to the community in a huge way.
David Bruton announced from his foundation that they have started a new program during the offseason called Bruton’s Books. What the program does is that it provides low income families with children ranging from Kindergarten to third grade by tutoring them to become stronger readers. The program also provides books to schools, classrooms, and libraries that are underfunded. The program is set to help the Denver Metro area with the children’s inability to read efficiently.
David Bruton has set up such a great program for the Denver Community. Some school’s have some of the biggest issues when it comes to having the right materials in order to teach their students. If the school’s do not have the right material for their libraries and classrooms, it would not be ideal for the teachers as they would not be able to teach the students the material they need in order to get a valuable education.
For children ages six to nine, this is a very important time in their lives as they learn how to read and understand words through what they see in books as a main source. Without books, how will they learn to read and at an efficient level? David Bruton provides the program to set the children up for success and make sure that those children have those tools to learn.
David Bruton further proves to the Denver community that the Broncos players have pride in making the surrounding community as well rounded as possible whether it is providing food, shelter, clothes, or even furthering a child’s education and health. The Denver Broncos as a franchise have been well known for their community work off the gridiron. David Bruton has started such a great program and it should develop into one that will become better for children as they continue to learn at this very critical age.
