The hometown players like Josh Bredl continue to intrigue the Denver Broncos. According to Troy Renick of the Denver Post, the Broncos worked out the defensive lineman from Colorado State-Pueblo. The Broncos are continuing to add to the hometown connections.

Josh Bredl measures in at six feet, seven inches and weighs in at 300 pounds. From what I saw during his pro day, he looks very quick and fast on his feet. Last season, he recorded 24 tackles en route to a Division II national championship.

Josh Bredl has experience as a tight end when he played the position in high school. If the Broncos decide to place him on the roster, we could easily see him lining up in goal line situations and catching short passes like Mitch Unrein did in the Tampa Bay game a couple years ago.

This guy is huge. And his speed and quickness make him even more lethal. According to ESPN, he ran the 40 yard dash in 5.2 seconds. Not too bad for a big guy on the defensive side of the football. Despite what we have seen on tape, he is projected to go undrafted this season. However, the Broncos have a history of finding great talent of players who did not hear their name called during the NFL Draft. Just look at C.J. Anderson and Chris Harris as prime examples.

Josh Bredl could be an interesting name to keep an eye out for once the NFL Draft is complete. The Broncos could always improve the defense and with enough work, Josh Bredl could become a great player and a force on the defensive side of the ball. Lining him up on a 3-4 defense on the edge could be a nightmare to opposing offensive linemen.

Look out for Josh Brendl. He is quite the prospect to look for when the Broncos draft ends and they can start signing free agents that did not hear their name called.
