Broncos CB Aqib Talib Under Investigation in Dallas Assault
According to a report from 9News in Denver, Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is being investigated in an aggravated assault at a Dallas night club.
Last year, a report came out that Talib was arrested in Dallas but it was later learned to be his brother, Yaqub, who is once again part of this investigation.
I’m going to go ahead and guess that Aqib shouldn’t be going out to clubs with his brother, at this point.

There is no reason to jump to conclusions here, but here’s what the official report states:
“Aqib Talib and his brother, Yaqub, were involved in a physical altercation with another person or persons at Club Luxx on Pearl Street, and then a gun was fired in the club, according to a police report.
The brothers then left that club in a white Range Rover and a white Jaguar and went to the XTC Cabaret on N. Stemmons Freeway. There, police caught up to the pair and questioned and released them.
Police towed the Range Rover and Jaguar, and DPD sources tell News 8 they are searching the vehicles for forensic evidence linked to the aggravated assault.”
Hopefully, nothing comes of this for Talib and the Broncos’ sake. He’s been suspended by the league enough to this point, that another run-in with the law could result in a significant suspension. Significant enough that Bradley Roby might not have to worry about getting tried out at free safety this season…
The Broncos begin offseason workouts on Monday, and Talib is expected to be in attendance. He made the Pro Bowl last year, his first with the Broncos, after playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
This is a life that Talib promised he’d left behind when he signed in Denver, stating that having kids and a family had changed him. Hopefully he’s innocent in this case as well, and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Which is still not really a good thing, either.
Talib is an integral part of the Broncos’ defense, but his contract language is such that the Broncos are protected financially from an incident such as this, if he were to be charged and convicted of anything. We’ll see what comes of it.
