Broncos Players Take Funny Jab at Demaryius Thomas

If you think Denver Broncos players and teammates of Demaryius Thomas don’t know and pay close attention to things that happen in the offseason, you’re sorely mistaken.

Emmanuel Sanders tweeted out this hilarious picture of Broncos players at their Duke workouts with Peyton Manning, and even included the guy who decided he wasn’t going to be attending those workouts…

Obviously, these guys are all friends, and Thomas is not at the workouts, so the photoshop including Demaryius is meant to be tongue-in-cheek. It’s a comical representation that these guys probably do actually wish their leader was there with them, preparing for the season and putting in that extra time.

After all, Thomas was voted a team captain last year.

Regardless of your situation in terms of contract, it’s important to your teammates (co-workers) and friends that look up to you and hold you in high regard to be present at times like these, when you’re doing work outside of work. You can’t really fault DT for not putting himself in a situation where he could possibly cost himself money, but at the same time, this is building camaraderie and chemistry moving forward.

The longer Thomas is not under long-term contract, the longer the Broncos are going to have to wonder what kind of shape he’s in, how he’s doing on timing with Peyton Manning — which, by the way, at the end of last season was not strong.

At any rate, here’s the actual picture of the guys at Duke facilities, getting that extra time in. It obviously hasn’t been for naught, as Manning has developed an incredible rapport with his receivers through the years. These type of voluntary workouts are part of why people love that guy so much, and why his teammates respect him so greatly.
