Recapping Broncos Offseason Additions in 2015
Broncos Add TE/FB/H-Back Joe Don Duncan
The Broncos added versatile weapon Joe Don Duncan on the first day of free agency, and got a guy that can play some fullback, tight end, H-back, slot receiver — whatever is needed.
This guy has the potential to be a real gem.
Duncan wasn’t overly heralded coming out of college but he did well enough at Dixie State to impress scouts to get an invitation to the Senior Bowl and the Scouting Combine. Those don’t just happen for players from small schools.
After getting noticed, injuries became the primary concern and Duncan was left out of the NFL in 2014, and ended up coaching wide receivers at Dixie State. Having had familiarity in the pre-draft process last year with Gary Kubiak, Duncan was a target of the Broncos this offseason and he was signed to be a ‘move’ player in the offense, someone that can play multiple positions.
This is an exciting prospect and one the Broncos obviously liked a lot.
