Broncos Bringing in Solid Veteran Experience
By Adam Malnati
The Denver Broncos are going about their business in free agency, but unlike last season, there have not been any big, flashy signings. Instead, John Elway and Gary Kubiak are working to gather players that fit the needs of the team.

Every player that has signed with Denver so far has been solid at their position, and capable of filling a role. From the trio of tight ends signed on day one, to defensive end Vance Walker, safety Darian Stewart, and guard Shelley Smith in the last few days, each player fits what the Broncos want to try to do in the 2015 season.
Everyone in Broncos Country was hoping for a big name. The Broncos have been bringing in big names ever since Elway took over. Every offseason has been filled with excitement, as big names like Peyton Manning, Wes Welker, DeMarcus Ware, and Emmanuel Sanders have inked deals with Denver. The 2015 free agency frenzy has not been as flashy, but it may be just as productive.

The incoming veterans bring solid experience, and build depth for the Broncos. Other teams in the AFC seem to be bringing in every big name out there. It may feel like every team is in the process of catching up with Denver’s talent. It is never fun to see talented guys sign with teams within the division, but the Broncos have no need for the flashy signing.
Denver needs to build around the young talent that Gary Kubiak and his staff are going to develop. Veteran players with NFL experience can help with that development. Kubiak has experience putting together a team of veterans, as he was a major cog in the coaching staff under Mike Shannahan during the Super Bowl runs in 1997 and 1998.

Elway also has the ability to build through the draft. This is a long offseason. The Broncos have done a good job to this point, but there is still a lot of time to add to this team. None of the signings have set the world on fire. That is not really what this team requires.
