What would you give to know what John Elway is thinking?
To climb into his mind to have an honest look at his thoughts for the Denver Broncos’ roster and how he plans to shape it? At this point I would guess most of Broncos Country and the media would give up just about anything to have that bit of info. As would the other 31 teams in the NFL.

If someone did come across that knowledge, you could make a lot of money to give that up to your fellow fans, media or the other teams. The hope is you would only let Broncos Country so it remains a surprise when Elway “wins” free agency again.
So what is his plan?
We have heard that Terrance Knighton will not return to the Broncos. As Orlando Frankin and Rahim Moore won’t either. Some soon-to-be former Denver tight end showed he’s all about the money and will fight kicking and screaming … off the field for a huge pay day.
What’s Elway’s plan for the overpriced Manny Ramirez, Britton Colquitt and Andre Caldwell? Will he restructure the contract of Ryan Clady to free up more cap space?

Word came today that the Broncos and Peyton Manning are working to restructure his contract.
Since Knighton, Frankin, Moore and Thomas more than likely will not return, and the players he should cut, what does that mean for the players he goes after?

One would think Elway has a plan for Knighton’s replacement, so who is it? Ndamukong Suh? Dan Williams? Is that guy on the roster?
More than any position, though, how will Elway fix the Denver offensive line? Who are the guys he wants to get in a Broncos uniform? If Franklin is done in the Mile High City, that makes three positions Elway has to fill. His No. 1 target (outside of his own free agents) has to be Bryan Bulaga. Does Elway think the same way?
Does he have a plan that hasn’t leaked out to the media yet? He did that a year ago when he signed DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders. Elway did it two years ago with Wes Welker. So who is it this year for Elway?
Over the next two weeks, the answers will become clear. But it wouldn’t be awesome to get some kind of hint now so we know? As Broncos Country has shown with the Manning “decision,” it isn’t exactly the most patient group.
Just like any great story, the climax will hit soon enough – just not soon enough.
