With Gary Kubiak the new head coach of the Denver Broncos, Owen Daniels should follow him to the Mile High City.

With reports indicating that Julius Thomas is most likely on his way out of Denver, the Broncos will most certainly be looking for a tight end. Not only is Julius Thomas a free agent, but Virgil Green is too. There is a high chance that the Broncos keep Virgil Green on the roster, but who can be the tight end that can at least help out in the passing attack? Owen Daniels can be the man for the job. He is a seasoned veteran who has been nothing but consistent in his nine years in the league. While he does not put up the touchdown numbers that Julius Thomas has in the past two years, Owen Daniels would be a great player to help out Peyton Manning (granted that he returns, which is likely pending a physical) if he needs to get rid of the ball.

I think Owen Daniels would do wonders in the Broncos offense with Peyton Manning under center. The only reason I could see Owen Daniels staying in Baltimore is if the Ravens find some way to bring him back as a security blanket in case Dennis Pitta gets injured again. However, I would not be surprised if John Elway offers him a deal he can not refuse. His production may not be that of a Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, but Owen Daniels knows how to get the job done and has done so for the most part of his nine years.

Pairing up Owen Daniels with the pass blocking of Virgil Green would be ideal, like Kyle mentioned earlier. Both players would be a dynamic duo at the position for the Broncos. Not very many teams implement the two tight end set, but it would help the Broncos running game tremendously. With the emergence of C.J. Anderson, having two tight ends at the line would really help him breakthrough in the game and provide the running attack the Broncos did have success on in the later stages of the season. While Owen Daniels is not really known for his blocking, Julius Thomas was not either.

Of course, it remains to be seen what the Broncos decide to do with Julius Thomas, but if he does end up packing his bags, John Elway should pick up that phone and see if Owen Daniels would be interested in joining the Denver Broncos.
