UPDATE: Demaryius Thomas will not be participating in the Pro Bowl due to an undisclosed injury.

Emmanuel Sanders had quite the year for the Denver Broncos in 2014. Now he is being rewarded with a trip to the Pro Bowl.

Due to Julio Jones not being able to participate in the NFL’s version of the all-star game due to injury, the Broncos announced on Thursday that they will have a second wide out participating in the game. Emmanuel Sanders had a great first year for the Broncos, recording 101 catches for 1,404 yards and nine touchdowns. He really benefited from the Broncos offense in the early goes when they were a pass-happy squad. The addition of Emmanuel Sanders now marks ten different Broncos players who will be playing in Arizona. Granted, Broncos fans wish it was for the Super Bowl instead of the Pro Bowl, at least these ten players will get to play one more game before the 2014 season officially ends.

John Elway has clearly been a genius when it comes to the franchise’s players. With the addition of Emmanuel Sanders, all four key free agency signings for the Denver Broncos will be participating in the Pro Bowl. That is quite an amazing feat. Having Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward, Demarcus Ware, and Emmanuel Sanders make the Pro Bowl in their first season with their new teams is quite remarkable.

Having ten players make the Pro Bowl from one team shows that something is being done right with the franchise. Emmanuel Sanders should take full advantage of the opportunity that is given to him. While his Pro Bowl birth was due to another player’s injury, it still must feel good. I firmly believed that Emmanuel Sanders should have made the Pro Bowl in the first place.

The Pro Bowl is all about having fun and playing against some of the best players from the 2014 season. I am confident that Emmanuel Sanders and the rest of the Broncos will look to have a blast and show the rest of the players participating why they were selected in the first place.
