PFM was sick, dehydrated and had a thigh injury. It was so bad he didn’t think he would play against the San Diego Chargers.

As Denver left guard Orlando Franklin told a Denver talk radio station this week, Manning didn’t attend the offensive meeting the night before the game.

Not only did Manning play, he played in his typical fashion. He was 14-for-20 for 233 yards and one touchdown. He had five completions of over 20 yards. It was clear the game plan was once again to run the ball, and Denver wanted to get the big plays in the pass game. They did that and then some.

With Manning “onto Cincinnati,” what will the game plan have in store?

Now that the Broncos have a running game, defenses have no idea what to expect when they face this offense.

If the Bengals load up the box to stop C.J. Anderson, that could mean a big night for Manning.

If that happens, hopefully this repeated nonsense and talk of him being in a trouble, in a funk or whatever else, ends.
